Benefits
- Deep ruby-red cup with a natural cranberry-like tartness and no caffeine at all
- Rich in vitamin C and anthocyanin antioxidants
- One of the most studied herbal infusions for cardiovascular wellness, with a long tradition of use in supporting healthy blood pressure - though it is a tea, not a medicine
- Known as gudhal in India, a familiar remedy for hair and skin health
- Sold as whole dried petals rather than dust, so the infusion is clean and the colour deep
Usage
- Steep 1 pyramid bag in 150 ml water at 85–90°C for 3–5 minutes, then remove the bag
- Sweeten with honey or jaggery to balance the tartness
- For iced hibiscus: brew double strength, chill, serve over ice with mint and lemon
- Naturally pairs with ginger, cinnamon or rose
- Two cups a day is a reasonable amount
Ingredients
- Hibiscus (around 65%), lemongrass, cinnamon, blueberry, cranberry, clove, spearmint, licorice, cardamom
- Caffeine-free, no added sugar, no added colour or preservatives
- 30 pyramid infusion bags, 2 g each (net 60 g); confirm the exact hibiscus percentage against your pack, as the label reading is ambiguous
- Allergen advice: may contain traces of nuts and milk (shared facility) — carry this line exactly as printed on the pack
Precautions
- May lower blood pressure - speak to your doctor before drinking it regularly if you take antihypertensive medication and avoid it if your blood pressure already runs low
- May interact with diuretics and some diabetes medication
- Contains licorice; high or prolonged intake of licorice is best avoided in pregnancy with high blood pressure or with kidney or heart conditions
- Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before regular use
- The natural acidity can be hard on sensitive stomachs and tooth enamel - rinse with water after drinking
- Store the zip-pack airtight and dry

The wheat flour feels so fresh and natural. The rotis stay soft for hours, and my family can actually taste the difference.

We've switched to Prakrti Pure pulses because they cook faster and have a richer taste. It feels like going back to traditional food.

The jaggery has become my go-to replacement for refined sugar in tea and sweets. It has a rich, authentic flavor without being overly sweet.
